| So I had a huge p/s leak that kept draining my p/s canister in a day..I'd refill it every time I heard the pump whine. The high pressure HICAS hose finally came yesterday so I replaced it and fixed the leak. I went to buy more fluid late at night and wasn't properly thinking and forgot it takes dextron atf and bought regular p/s fluid. Filled whole system up with it. Drove like that for 2 hours today and while making a left turn, my p/s went dead and the HICAS light turned on. The p/s canister is still full, the pump is turning (belt is fine), no abnormal noises. I'm about to do HICAS diagnostics to see code but is it possible I ruined something by letting it constantly get low on fluid then filling with p/s fluid? I wouldn't think it was possible for it to go out in a split second..so I'm hoping it's just a HICAS electrical problem..
